Welcome to Project SEMEP

The South Eastern Mediterranean Sea Project (SEMEP) is an interdisciplinary environmental education project which promotes the active involvement of the students in research and provides them with the opportunity to present their findings  exchanging  knowledge between partner schools in accordance with the frameworks of the South-Eastern Mediterranean sea Project (SEMEP) and the UNESCO Associated Schools network and also at national conferences and symposia.
It is based on the premise that young people and educators have a vital interest in learning about our natural world, and the environmental education enables students to become engaged in real world issues that transcend the classroom walls. The  SEMEP Project addresses the need for human beings to develop as responsible citizens of our planet.
