South Eastern Mediterranean Sea Project (SEMEP) is an interdisciplinary environmental education project which promote the active involvement of the students in research and give them the opportunity to present their findings at the exchange of knowledge between partner schools as done within the frameworks of the South-Eastern Mediterranean sea Project (SEMEP) and the UNESCO Associated Schools network and also at national conferences and symposia.
It is based on the premise that young people and educators have a vital interest in learning about our natural world, and the environmental education provides important opportunities for students to become engaged in real world issues that transcend classroom walls. Project SEMEP addresses the need for human beings to develop as responsible citizens of our planet.
